Donations

Shine Zamnal (New Way Life) (NGO) Mongolian Quilting Center

Please contribute towards operating and maintenance costs for the Center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Center is a safe haven for low income, unemployed, and disabled Mongolian women who benefit socially and ecomonically through learning to quilt, making friends, and using the facilities to produce items to sell.  Click here to read more about this project.

$60 covers the cost of transportation and food for a seamstress at the Center for one month.  $100 will buy enough supplies to make 50 aprons or tote bags. $150 pays for utilities and building maintenance fees for a month. It costs $250 per month to rent the basement apartment where quilting supplies are stored and the seamstresses work. The salary for a seamstress or teacher for one month is in the range of $450-$600.

Donations are deposited into a pass-through account at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Bainbridge Island, WA which is the non-profit host in the USA for the Shine Zamnal NGO.

100% of the funds raised go to the Mongolian Quilting Center.
